50 g Zucker
50 g Butter
2 Ei(er)
100 g Sahne
1 1/2 TL Backpulver
1 Prise Salz
1 EL Zitronensaft oder Wodka
500 g Fett, zum Frittieren
150 g Puderzucker
1 Pck. Vanillinzucker

Mehl auf den Tisch sieben und eine Mulde hineindrücken. Sahne, Butter, Eier, etwas Salz, Backpulver und Zitronensaft hinein geben. Alles vermischen und zu einem geschmeidigen Teig kneten, wenn zu klebrig, noch etwas Mehl dazu geben. Der Teig soll ähnlich dem Nudelteig sein. Teig 1 Stunde abgedeckt ruhen lassen (geht auch ohne, aber besser ruhen lassen)

Dünn ausrollen und mit einem Messer oder Rädchen 3 cm breite und 10-15 cm lange Streifen schneiden. Jeden Streifen in der Mitte der Länge nach 4 - 6 cm einschneiden und das eine Ende durch das Loch durchziehen.

Fett erhitzen und Faworki/Gebäck von beiden Seiten goldgelb darin ausbacken. Auf Küchentuch abtropfen. Noch warm mit Puderzucker, gemischt mit Vanillinzucker, dick bestäuben.

Ergibt ca. 40-60 Stück Gebäckstücke.
